THERE’S NO HAPPINESS IN THE WORLD’S APPLAUSE

I got this idea from Britt Nicole’s song ‘You’ and I think it’s time I penned it down because it has been hovering on my mind for quite some time. The song talks about seeking true love and finding happiness. The truth is that there’s never happiness when you live for the commendations of others and their applause. There is no happiness there. The only true happiness you will ever find is the happiness that comes with knowing that God loves you and would go to any length for you. This true happiness also comes from the satisfaction you get from fulfilling the purpose for which you were created. God created you not to be just another person but because there's a problem out there that He knows you can solve.

However, folks have gone on to deceive themselves for too long. Looking for love and appreciation in the eyes of others. The simple truth is that you must learn that human love is as unstable as high sea. One moment they appreciate you and the next moment the same people who appreciated and applauded you begin to despise you. No one can ever love you more than the God who created you. No one can give you the full satisfaction of appreciation like the One who made you for a good, big purpose. There’s always an emptiness deep down that remains when you live without actually knowing the purpose for which you were created. That emptiness gets worse when you fool yourself into thinking that it’s the appreciations and commendations of others that define your life. That ain’t true in any way. It will never be true.

So today, learn to live your life without waiting for the applause of other people. Always have in mind that God loves you and that He is cheering you as you journey through life while making yourself and others happy. Have a splendid day.
