DARE TO BE DIFFERENT

Just because people are complaining that everyone is doing ‘it’ doesn’t disqualify you from trying. You can be different from the rest. You can stand out. Especially in these modern times where technology is only helping people do almost anything and making things easier, it’s now common place for people to sell the same product and offer the same services. For example, in my school, almost everyone is into photography so it’s now common for just anyone to jump into it because it is a trend. However, amidst the multitude of ‘aspiring photographers’, there are some who actually stand out amidst others. There are those who are slowly mastering the art. 

So also for computers and laptops, we have HP, Dell, Acer, Asus, Toshiba, and Lenovo and so on; then we have Apple computers. Apple computers stand out. They are different from other computers. They are so unique that they aren’t referred to as PCs but as Macs. Truly you can stand head and shoulders above the crowd. You have to dare to be different. Go against the tide and be creative. Do things that other people won’t have thought of doing.

In some cases you can be a pioneer. Start a trend. In other cases you can be the stand-out-guy. Be the one that people will look up to. Be different from others. Let it be that when people are categorizing, they can refer to your work or brand as the one that stands out among the crowd. Dare to think differently. Dare to be different. Dare to be unique. You can be the Steve Jobs of your field.
