Lessons Lekki Taught Me…

I had the joy of residing in Lekki for a short period of time recently and I was taken aback by its beauty. Prior to that point I had heard gist about how beautiful Lagos Island is but my visit gave me the opportunity to see and experience its magnificence. Lekki is a beautiful place (well, most of it). The lessons I learnt helped me become a better person:
1)      Order and organization are the foundation of beauty. Every piece must fit into place for beauty to exist.
2)      No one enjoys sacrifice but it is necessary. I always laugh at the guys who pay toll gate fees. It’s not nice but it’s necessary to keep things in order.
3)      Silence is golden. Lekki is a relatively quiet place. High-class people like to mind their business (in a certain way though).
4)      Beauty attracts prominence. Lekki is beautiful and rich people live there (though not everyone there is rich, but majority are). Order attracts good things.

5)      In order to be excellent risk is needed. Lagos Island in built on sand-filled land. It is risky but you need to take risks to experience excellence in whatever you do.
