They're Leaving God Out of Everything! (The God Omission by Tobi Ogunfusika -@cutendpetite)

When I got home last year after school for the Christmas break, I was watching TV one random day. We were flipping through channels trying to look for something entertaining to watch. We stumbled on African Magic and then for a few minutes we were watching the movie. I noticed that some words were censored and I remembered that they started censoring swear words and curse words a while back and I shrugged my head and continued watching the movie. Something very interesting happened there and then, I noticed that the actress whose present words were being censored wasn’t cursing or saying anything wrong, she was not even angry or pissed with anybody in the movie. She was shocked and she said “Jesus” and after a while she said “oh My God”. It was so hard to read her lips considering the fact that it was a Nollywood movie and those words are the usual things we expect when a situation like that comes up in the course of watching a Nigerian movie.

I was shocked and alarmed at the same time. The -----brought up some new systems of living called Idealism or rationalism. The views that these schools of thought adopt or are bringing up concerning some issues in modern day society are so wrong because they are not based on God’s word. They make it sound reasonable and appealing. They also make you see the truth in it and how very logical it is. The truth is Christ did not come to bring logic, he didn’t come to make meaning out of the things we see, do and experience in life. He came to change our mentality and our way of thinking. He came to show us that the right way isn’t always the right way; the right way according to our standards always leads to destruction. He came to show us that our mentality and our way of thinking through things or trying to fathom things isn’t that way he thinks, he’ll never think that way, as a matter of fact he can’t. It’s a demotion to him.
When I type on my Ipad and I put the name God there, auto-correct doesn't do anything to it. If I want to write something like God’s and I type Gods, it doesn’t change it. On a normal day, if I type words and mistakenly misspell a word that’s close to the original word, it shows the word as my list of options but if I type anything close to God and I mistakenly type HOD or FOD, it doesn't correct it to God or show God as my list of options. It just underlines the FOD and HOD, to let me know that I’ve made a typographical error. They are slowly putting Him out.
They are putting God away from the media. Putting him out from the television and Ipad dictionaries and whatever else it is they have put him out of. Censoring any mention of his name like it’s a foul word, the name that’s to bring life and healing to all men who hear and call upon his name. They are shifting our focus from God and putting so much emphasis on the things of this world, telling you what’s right and wrong according to their standards. They say that some things shouldn't be done to affect people of other religion, they admonish us to put away God (they even call it (the God factor) making him sound like something we just decide to add to life, when the truth of the matter is that he is the one who invented this life we now live by his Son, Jesus Christ) for the benefit of other people, to foster peace in the society and to put an end to religious wars.
I scoff, that won’t solve anything, you’re putting away the only one that can give peace, I don’t mean peace bought by the roadside, I mean the Prince of Peace. They’re putting him away, shutting him out, do they have an idea of what they are doing. It’s like leaving the refuge/shelter and running straight to the fore front of the battle field to protect oneself from the enemy. FOOLISHNESS!!!!

If we as Christian’s don’t do anything about this, by the time my children (by his grace) grow up, they’ll not even hear about God anywhere but church. They’ll ban the mention of his name (apparently they can’t ban him, he’s too BIG) from the media, they’ll even stop every form of prayer in schools during assembly, people will be free thinkers( living with the notion that their lives belong to them and that they can’t do whatever the hell they want with it).

  3. We have to rise up and set the standard for the ideals in our own generation.

Christians have to wake up and uphold the Bible way of doing things, and stop looking to the world for a pattern for fashion, entertainment, relationships, or a social life. The Bible has a pattern. The world's system would fall soon enough.

We have to take charge of the 7 Mountains ( google Johnny Enlow) and set the laws to reign in our day [e.g. we would not give broadcasting rights in Nigeria or Africa to any t.v network that censors the mention of God]

From understanding Jeremiah 6:16.....we have to find the ancient paths of life and walk in them, therein lies our rest. Enough of celebrating secular stars and watching their reality tv shows. Lets rather destroy the works of the devil in them, through Christ in us. That's the hope that God will be glorified in our time.
His Name will be the biggest name in my day. When they come to the excellent and big time schools, businesses, and hospitals that we will establish, they will see Jesus and Him alone.

  4. I am so proud that christian youths are thinking like this.
No matter what happens, God will always have a remnant in every generation.

A set of people that must lift up His banner high. I am glad that you belong to that army.

Again at the conclusion of all this..Every Knee Must Bow and Every Tongue confess that Jesus is Lord......whether they do it willingly or by force.
    Shallom dear.

  5. It's important that we think like this. If not, the world will keep thinking we are just religious dunces who try to use God to explain their lack of creativity and inability to think critically. Let's get this news out there.
