Startup Grind, the popular
event series for entrepreneurs and investors announces the opening of its Lagos
chapter and its inaugural event to be held March 9th, 2014 at the Iroko’s
headquarters in Anthony Village. The featured guest will be a panel of founders
of Irokotv, Africa’s largest internet streaming company supporting Nollywood.

Bastian Gotter graduated from the University of Manchester Institute of
Science & Technology (UMIST) in 2006 with a degree in Management Sciences.
Post-University, Bastian worked as a Middle Distillates Trader at BP
for almost six years.
Gotter co-founded and
seed-funded iROKOtv from the company's launch in 2010 and has overseen the
company securing $21Mn in VC funding from international investors, making
iROKOtv one of Africa's most well-funded internet companies. In 2011, he left
his job at BP to concentrate fully on building iROKOtv. As COO, he heads up the
company's technical teams around the globe from his base in Lagos. In 2013, he
launched Spark with his business partners Jason Njoku and Mary
Remmy-Njoku to invest in and grow Lagos-based internet start-ups.
